With Christmas fast approaching, we wanted to share some ways you can create a fun and festive atmosphere inside your home this holiday season.

Decorating your home for Christmas can feel overwhelming. Therefore, we decided to create a Christmas home decor guide to assist you in taking it one room at a time.

Entryway
The entryway is the first room your guests will see as they enter your home. It’s important to make sure not to overlook this area. These are some ideas for you to incorporate into your home entryway creating an inviting and festive welcome:

 Hang a wreath on the front door;
 Decorate your front door with bright and colourful poinsettias.

Hallway
Just because it’s passing through space doesn’t mean it should go unnoticed. Here are some ideas to add a little extra cheer:

 Add small items like pillows, greenery or Christmas figurines to a hall table or bench to liven up the space;
 Hang string lights and stockings from coat hooks;
 Light candles with scents like gingerbread, mulled wine, and pine, as they are instantly associated with a Christmassy ambiance.

Dining Room
If you’re hosting a Christmas dinner, make sure your dining room is festively decorated for the holiday. You want to dress up your table, but you don’t want to overdo it and leave your visitors with too little room to eat and move around! Here are some things to consider when decorating your dining room this Christmas:

 Choose a colour scheme;
 Choose a festive tablecloth;
 Use evergreen in your centrepiece;
 Place lots of simple white candles and tea lights around the room;
 Fill a glass vase with twinkling battery-operated lights.

Living Room
The living room is a space that is often at the heart of all holiday plans and festivities. Pay special attention to the mantel and the Christmas tree itself, as these will be the room’s focal points. Here are some tips and ideas for you:

 Create a festive centrepiece for your coffee table;
 For discreet Christmas décor, fill bowls with pinecones or ornaments;
 Replace linen and light-coloured cushions with warm-toned velvet and twill;
 Switch out your usual throws and cushions with plush faux-fur alternatives;
 Hang lots of string lights.

We hope this collection of ideas will assist and inspire you to create a beautiful, festive living space for this holiday season.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
